Very 90s.
It’s also great when done by a Finnish symphonic metal band.

“Very 90s” is basically the summary of all Hans Zimmer’s soundtracks. Fun, but a bit dated now...

In the same vein, pretty much everything John Williams has done reminds me of Harry Potter now.
Dude is a great composer, but he definitely doesn’t stray too far out of the box.

Yea, leitmotif works within individual compositions, but across compositions (and a career), it gets a bit tired.
Harry Gregson-Williams is in that boat, too. (Also, I played a lot of MGS2 and 3 as a youf.)

I’m not ashamed to have bought the theme for my library after I watched the movie. Hans Zimmer is amazing.

I’ll go one further and admit that I made it one of the ringtones on my iPhone.

Hans Zimmer is amazing.
Interstellar
Christopher Nolan’s Batman series
Inception
Blackhawk Down
Tears of the Sun...
etc.
Zimmer also had his touch in some vidya games (which you probably knew):
